About us

Ambrose Akuno Auma Foundation (AAAF) is a people-centered nonprofit organization driven by a passion for community empowerment and human rights advocacy. It was established in 2019 by individuals deeply committed to social justice with a focus on four key pillars—poverty eradication, disease control and prevention, community participation in local governance, and the protection of marginalized populations.

We empower youth through entrepreneurial training, offer care and treatment for those affected by HIV and other critical illnesses, and conduct medical and social research to address pressing societal issues. By formalizing these interventions, we aim to make a lasting positive impact on local governance, socio-economic development, and the health of communities. Our work is dedicated to uplifting socially excluded individuals and ensuring their rights are protected and promoted.

Our Mission

At AAAF, we aim to create sustainable and impactful community interventions that address critical societal issues. We are dedicated to eradicating poverty, controlling and preventing diseases, and promoting active community participation in local governance. Our efforts focus on upholding the human rights of marginalized and secluded members of society.

We strive to economically empower youth by providing entrepreneurial skills training and offering comprehensive care and treatment for individuals affected by HIV and other critical illnesses. Through rigorous medical and social research, we aim to develop solutions that address societal challenges. Our mission is to formalize and structure our interventions to foster positive changes in local governance and improve the socio-economic and health status of diverse groups.

What we do?

We believe that we can
save more life with you

Empowering Youth

At AAAF, we recognize the immense potential that young people hold in driving socio-economic growth. However, we also acknowledge the barriers they face in accessing opportunities. That’s why we are dedicated to providing youth with the tools and training they need to succeed in today’s competitive world. Our entrepreneurship programs equip young individuals with invaluable skills and knowledge to start and expand their businesses, fostering economic independence and reducing unemployment in our communities.

Health and Wellness

Good health is the footing of a thriving community. And AAAF is deeply committed to addressing health disparities, particularly among marginalized and underserved populations. We offer care and treatment programs for individuals affected by HIV and other critical illnesses, ensuring they have access to the resources they need to live healthier, more fulfilling lives. Our health initiatives also focus on disease prevention and control, empowering communities with the knowledge and tools to safeguard their well-being.

Participation in Local Governance

We believe that for a community to thrive truly, its members must be actively involved in the decisions that affect their lives. AAAF advocates for greater community participation in local governance, providing platforms for people to voice their concerns, share their ideas, and hold leaders accountable. By furthering a culture of transparency and inclusivity, we aim to strengthen the bonds between citizens and their local governments, leading to more effective and responsive governance.

Human Rights Advocacy

Everyone is entitled to live with dignity, respect, and equal rights. AAAF is dedicated to protecting and promoting the rights of marginalized and socially excluded individuals. We work tirelessly to ensure these vulnerable groups are not left behind, advocating for policies and practices that uphold their human rights. Through our interventions, we seek to create a society where every person has the opportunity to realize their full potential, irrespective of their circumstances or background.
